I'm Sonia, a mom with two neurodivergent children, one with ASD, and each with their own unique sensory needs. I started Hearth & Haven in my journey to create blankets that would feel soothing, tactile and grounding, and give my family the sensory comfort they needed. Every piece is hand-knit in my North Carolina studio, in chenille that doesn't shed, with the kind of warm weight that calms restless hands and makes a room feel like home. No two are ever alike — I never repeat a pattern and color combination, so the blanket you choose is the only one of its kind made by me.
